Wow, almost black leaves with striking veins. There are so many wonderful Alocasias out here, and the Black Velvet is definitely in the company of great Borneo Alocasias like Dragon Scale and Cuprea. If you feel the leaves of Alocasia Black Velvet they are thick and waxy, almost unreal. If possible try to give this plant a higher humidity level.
Place in a light and warm position. Try to avoid direct sun light.
Water this Alocasia when it starts to dry out. The plant will not tolerate standing in water.
